Mary was someone who took great advantage of the "One World" twist. Knowing that the boys & girls tribes would eventually swap, Mary wanted to set herself up with some of the men, just in case she was ever split apart from Namua. She spent hours on time talking to the men and bonding with them. While this was a very smart strategy and great use of the theme, Mary did this at the wrong time, in the wrong place, which is what lead to her eventual downfall. Slaylah along with Cher both took notice of how talkative Mary was with some of the guys, and started to become worried about how loyal she really was to the women. When her tribe lost the first immunity, her name was thrown out by both Lateysha & Cher, but Mary was able to survive that tribal council with only 2 votes against her, and taking out her rival Lateysha. After her tribe lost the second immunity, many women began to think about how strong the team was as a whole, and wanted to strengthen the Women's tribe in challenges. With Cher as the easy vote off, Mary quickly began to spread her name around. But, Mary's chatty ways in the game began to raise many more red flags for others, and many women such as Abi & Maggie saw this as the perfect opportunity to take her out. At tribal council Mary evidently felt safe, and had trust in those around her. After all, only Skylar & Lala voted against Cher alongside with Mary, while the rest of the women voted Mary out in a 5-3 vote.
